Summer Theology Workshop #326 $330 Adults - 6/11/2017 - 6/15/2017 Register
The annual Summer Theology Workshop at Koronis Ministries will provide an in depth theological insight into The Early Church: from Diverse Theology to Orthodoxy for all  interested clergy and laypersons.  We will be working from a study book called Lost Christianities by Prof. Bart Ehrman of the University of North Carolina, hearing video lectures by Prof Ehrman, and exchanging ideas about  the significance of the new Christian religion to Jewish and pagan converts during the first three centuries after the Resurrection of Christ.

How did Christian life and thought change between the First Jewish Revolt and the Council of Nicea? How have those changes shaped us? Do we owe some loyalty to the decisions of those early Christians? Explore the answers to these questions with other adults in a beautiful setting. Come gather for fellowship and spiritual refreshment with other theologically curious adults and dig to discover the deeper truths of the Christian faith.

This camp is designed for youth who are interested in a Boundary Waters experience but are not connected to a group. This trip will take campers deep into the wild and teach them how to navigate, cook, and bond as a team. Campers will form new friendships, experience the glory of God in new ways, and have a lot of fun. The first night of camp features a training session that teaches campers how to handle a canoe, pack a bag, portage, and prepare for their trip. Campers then spend four nights in the Boundary Waters practicing what they learned and acquiring new skills. No experience is necessary, just a love of the outdoors and a desire for wilderness adventure. Contact Koronis Ministries (320-243-4544) for more information. Limit of seven campers.

Learn about caring for God's creation through art, science, and fun. Most of each day is spent outdoors exploring our environment, and every day also includes an afternoon field trip. Daily devotions focus on our roles as caretakers of the earth and all living things. This camp is located at Advent United Methodist Church in Eagan.  Campers bring a zero-waste lunch--one where containers can be recycled or reused.

The camp starts at 9:00 AM.  We conclude at 4:30 PM (no extended after care).  There is no need to provide adults for the camp, as we have adult staff running the camp.  Our theme is always centered around caring for Creation.  This year each day includes the study of a different kind of bird - waterfowl, song birds, etc.  We are on-site at Advent UMC in the morning and then take the bus to activities in the afternoon.  On Thursday camp concludes at Cascade Bay in Eagan, with pick up there at 4:30 PM.

(Early care is available from 8-9 a.m. at a cost of $5 per day - Please pay for the separate early care fee at the Advent UMC website
