Let me give you a glimpse of why we think Family Camp 1 at Northern Pines Camp is such a special and magical place! To give you a little context, I have been coming to Family Camp 1 since the 1980’s with my parents, and there is a pull that keeps us coming back (now with my children) year after year. It is a place where you can truly “unplug” among the fragrant tall pines, reconnect with your family and friends, get outside and simply enjoy all of God’s glorious creations. If you are looking to relax and unwind with a good book, you may find yourself cocooned in one of the hammocks down by the lakeside listening to the loons as they swim by. For those who like a bit more structure, we also offer optional activities throughout the week such as arts and crafts, Bible study, archery, campfires, a talent show, outdoor games, vespers and much more. We typically plan a canoe trip down the Potato River that is always a lot of fun. We have beach and swimming time, use of kayaks, paddleboards and a pontoon boat. It is hard to fit all of the fun and quality family time into one week! I hope you can join us this summer!
